Excellent photo editor for improving your images

AKVIS Enhancer is a tool that lets you edit your photography to give it a professional, graphic design look.

If you are a design professional or need to manipulate images in a very detailed way, then you'll need a photo editing program which can zoom in on your images in high definition detail. AKVIS Enhancer is a great option to try out.

Normally, if you try to reveal details in highlighted or shadowed areas using exposure correction (such as levels) you may spoil the parts of the image that you want to leave unchanged. The idea behind AKVIS Enhancer is that it intensifies color transition and consequently strengthens the difference between adjacent pixels that have different color gradations. This way, you can reveal not only details in the shadow but even details in the overexposed and mid tone areas.

AKVIS Enhancer improves an image's detail, no matter what caused the blurring in the first place. AKVIS Enhancer can detect the underexposed, overexposed and mid tone areas of a photo with uneven exposure in detail. It can bring blurred images into focus and now even supports HDRI technology. AKVIS Enhancer has three modes: Enhancer, Focus, and HDRI. In the Enhancer and Focus modes you can improve a picture using one single shot. In HDR mode you need a series of shots, but you'll be surprised at how much you can improve your images.

AKVIS Enhancer can't turn your photos into a work of art if they weren't one in the first place, but it can certainly improve those images that have been blurred or are out of focus.

Changes

Added support of Exif data (the data registered by the camera when shooting, e.g. the date, the settings, etc). Fixed some minor bugs. Updated the program documentation. Now there are three download files for Macintosh: standalone application, a plugin version for Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop Elements 6, and a plugin for earlier versions of Photoshop and Photoshop Elements (legacy file).

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.

Flag any particular issues you may encounter and Softonic will address those concerns as soon as possible.
